Sociólogo, cofundador y Director de Fundación Ecología y Desarrollo (ECODES). Vicepresidente de la Red Española del Pacto Mundial, miembro del Consejo Social de INDITEX y del Panel de Expertos en sostenibilidad de Sol Meliá. Profesor asociado del Programa Superior de Dirección en Responsabilidad Corporativa de IE Business School desde 2007. Miembro del Consejo Asesor de la Fundación Biodiversidad. Miembro del Consejo Asesor de Triodos Bank España, del Consejo Asesor de CREAS Fondo Social; miembro del Consejo Asesor del Fondo de Cooperación para Agua y Saneamiento del Gobierno de España, y miembro del Consejo Asesor de la Fundación Hazloposible. Es miembro del Consejo de Greenpeace España. Miembro del Consejo de Expertos del Centro de Finanzas Responsables y Sostenibles, y vocal del Consejo de Desarrollo Sostenible de España.
Fue Experto-coordinador de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional (Nicaragua) desde 1992 a 1995 y fue Jefe del Servicio de Juventud del Ayuntamiento de Zaragoza (1987-1992) y cofundador de la revista En pie de Paz.
Es autor de Caja de herramientas para los constructores del cambio (2008); y cofundador de “Sabores Próximos”, empresa de agricultura ecológica.

Mr. Viñuales is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Biodiversity Foundation; Inditex; and Triodos Bank; and a member of the Panel of Experts in Sustainability for Sol Meliá. Since 2007 Mr. Viñuales is associate professor of the Executive Management Programme in Corporate Social Responsibility of the Instituto de Empresa (IE) Business School.
He is a member of the Advisory Committee of Hazloposible Foundation; and also of CREAS, an organization that uses social venture capital as an investment instrument that guarantees economic returns and a positive social impact. Mr Viñuales is a member of the Spanish Cooperation Fund for Water and Sanitation created by the Government of Spain. He is a member of the Board of Greenpeace Spain; a member of the Council of Experts of Finresp, the Spanish Centre for Responsible and Sustainable Finance; and a member of the Sustainable Development Council of Spain.
From 1992-1995, Mr Viñuales was Expert-Coordinator of AECID (Spanish Agency for International Cooperation) in Nicaragua; and from 1987-1992 he was head of the Youth Service of the Zaragoza City Council.
He has published a book entitled Caja de herramientas para los constructores del cambio (A Toolkit For The Builders Of Change) (2008); and is cofounder of “Sabores Próximos”, an organic agriculture company.
